Swartouts work is influential on me due to being comical and involves some humour, lacking a lot of seriousness of art work which makes them easier to look at due to not having to enjoy them for their meaning, just to enjoy them for what they are.
He also makes abstract styled sculptures such as his chain tree, which barely resembles a tree until you're aware of what it is titled.
